After touring in rock bands and performing covers and originals in nightclubs from New England to Nashville, singer songwriter, Gigi Abraham attracted the attention of CBS, an event that resulted in a recording contract with Columbia Records. With group, Favorite Angel
and producer John Fannon,
she cut a cover of Alice Cooper's “Only Women Bleed” at the Hit Factory in NYC, and the single reached #69 on the National Billboard Hot 100 chart within five weeks.
A reorganization at the label left Gigi without a major recording contract but not without determination. Continuing to write and record, she co-produced her own self-titled CD as an independent musician with partner, Kenny Lewis of Mixed Emotions Music in Boston. The result was an accessible Adult Contemporary Pop Rock Sound , sharing similarities with artists, ranging from Sheryl Crow and Sarah McLachlan to Alanis Morissette and Melissa Ethridge, with its own distinct soul and presence.
Today Gigi is as passionate as ever about singing and songwriting and retains the vision of an artist. Her new CD is in the making and she is currently focused on getting her songs into TV and Film. She has successfully built a base of clients and is a well–established jingle singer and voiceover artist in the Boston and Connecticut markets.
Gigi can be heard singing or doing voiceovers for radio and TV ads across the United States, and can be seen as the on- air television host of a real estate program serving most of New England. You can tune in and watch her on the, “I Sold My House Dot Com Show ”, but if you really want to know her all you have to do is listen to her songs.
